BEAUTIFULLY BROKEN

The story behind my "Beautifully Broken" crosses:

After working with two glass artisans last year, one of my biggest takeaways was the desire to find my own "voice" in my work once my training was done (is it ever really done?). Because glass can be fickle, I was sitting in my workshop one day lamenting all the pendants I had fired that didn't match my vision, for one reason or another. I felt I'd wasted God's resources and was really frustrated about my shortcomings as an artist. While this was still on my mind, I went to the LeadHer Live (leadher.org) conference where I heard Lori Mosteller sing her song "Beautifully Broken". It was then that God spoke this into my heart, "I had to break you to make you" and He gave me the vision to repurpose my "mistakes" into something NEW. Our Creator doesn't toss us aside or throw us away because we don't meet His vision for us. He takes who we are, WHERE WE ARE and breaks us through intervention, circumstance, trials, heartache, redirection, removal...whatever it takes. And he takes us in our brokenness, moves the pieces around and creates something NEW through his son, Jesus Christ. Beloved, know that our God SEES your potential, your value and your BEAUTY...even when you don't. In your brokenness, it may feel your life is being thrown away but in God's hands, He will make you whole again and if you let Him, you will be MORE than you ever thought you could be. May you know God's blessing today and everyday. You are Holy and DEARLY LOVED.

A New Series - "The Writing on the Wall"

God has really had my family in the book of Daniel this past year and as I was with a prayer group Friday night I felt this new series on my heart - "The Writing on the Wall". I talked to my husband about it and he said, "You know that's a Daniel thing, right?" --- A TOTAL disconnect on my part and I can't believe I missed it...ESPECIALLY since I was study chapter 5 at the time with King Belshazzar freaking out about his OWN struggle with writing on the wall! Interesting how we process what we read in the Bible! Anyway, I'm tickled to share these prototypes. I'll be doing more with encouraging words AND baybayin.
